1. Cambridge Exams, BEC (Business English Certificate)

There are three BEC exams - BEC Preliminary, BEC Vantage and BEC Higher - which test English language ability used in the context of business. They are ideal if you are preparing for a career in business. The BEC exams are linked to the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and to the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority's National Standards for Literacy, within the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
They can be taken two times a year in the Netherlands. An internationally recognised business qualification can help you show that you have learned English to an appropriate standard and can use it in a professional context.
2. TOEFL: The Test of English as a Foreign Language
Ideaal voor mensen die binnenkort een studie in het Engels gaan volgen. Een voldoende TOEFL resultaat is een toelatingseis bij meeste Engelstalige opleidingen in Nederland en het buitenland!
The course involves an intensive preparation for the TOEFL test and is set up to enable the student to achieve the highest TOEFL score her/she is capable of. The tests can be taken in Arnhem and are scheduled many times a month.
A satisfactory TOEFL score is nowadays an entry requirement for all the English university courses in the Netherlands. In addition, many government agencies, scholarship programs, and licensing/certification agencies use TOEFL scores to evaluate English proficiency. Currently more than 4,400 two- and four-year colleges and universities, professional schools, and sponsoring institutions worldwide accept TOEFL scores.
3. IELTS: The International English Language Testing System

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an internationally owned and globally recognised direct English language assessment of the highest quality and integrity readily available throughout the world. IELTS is a highly dependable, practical and valid English language assessment primarily used by those seeking international education, professional recognition, bench-marking to international standards and global mobility. IELTS is owned, developed and delivered through the partnership of the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations.
The test can be taken twice a month at one of the two IELTS test centres in the Netherlands: Utrecht or Amsterdam.
